Tropical Smoothie Bowl

I have fallen in love with smoothies. For Christmas, one of the gifts that my husband got me is a Nutri Ninja. Now I have gotten into the habit of making smoothies at least 2 times a week, if not more!


Also, thanks to Pinterest I learned about Smoothie Bowls and I knew that we had to give it a try!

If you’ve never had a Smoothie Bowl, I encourage you to give it a try cause  you would love it! We are now Smoothie Bowl obsessed at our house now. Smoothie Bowls make for a great breakfast option or even a mid afternoon snack.

Tropical Smoothie Bowl

This Tropical Smoothie Bowl will keep you filled and satisfied throughout the morning. This smoothie bowl would also make a great afternoon snack.

  • Smoothie Bowl
  • 2 Bananas, chopped
  • 1/4 Cup Mango, chopped
  • 1/2 Cup Pineapple Chunks
  • 2 Handfuls of Spinach
  • 1/4 Cup Coconut Water
  • 1/4 tsp. Spirulina
  • Toppings
  • 2 Kiwis, peeled & sliced
  • 1 Mango, peeled & diced
  • 1/2 Cup Pineapple Chunks
  • Sprinkling of Coconut Flakes
  • Homemade Almond Joy Granola (*optional*)
  • Handful of Goji Berries (*optional*)
  • Almond Joy Granola
  • 2 Cups GF Oats
  • 1/2 Cup Almonds, sliced
  • 1 tsp. Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. Nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp. Sea Salt
  • 4 tbsp. Coconut Oil, melted
  • 1/2 Cup Pure Maple Syrup
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
  • 1/3 Cup Unsweetened Coconut Flakes
  • 1/2 Cup DF Chocolate Chunks


For the Almond Joy Granola

Preheat the oven to 325 F.

In a large bowl, toss together the oats, almonds, cinnamon, nutmeg and sea salt. Set aside

In a small bowl, whisk together the melted coconut oil, maple syrup, and vanilla extract.

Pour the wet mixture over the dry mixture and toss to coat everything.

Place the parchment paper on a baking sheet and spread out the granola onto the parchment paper. Bake in the oven for 30 min. or until the granola is slightly browned. Let cool. Mix in the coconut flakes and chocolate chunks.

For the Smoothie Bowl

In a blender combine the smoothie bowl ingredients and blend until smooth. Pour the mixture into 2 bowls and top with kiwi, mango, pineapple, and goji berries and granola (if using)
