Whether you are brand new to Gluten Free or a veteran of the Gluten Free lifestyle, I hope that you’ll find some value in the resources and recipes on this blog.

The Mission of The Kitchen Revival + The Meaning Behind the name
The posts here at The Kitchen Revival are a mix between healthy Gluten Free + Dairy Free (sometimes Paleo) recipes to practical tools and tips to help you achieve well-being to weekly Christian devotionals.

The definition of a revivial is 1) a restoration to bodily or mental vigor (vitality), to life or consciousness, or to sporting success. 2) A re-awakening of something, or to something coming back to health, life or popularity.

If you are wandering what is with the name if this blog, especially if you have no idea what a REVIVAL is, I have provided a definition above.

I chose the name The Kitchen Revival cause just because me and millions of other people have dietary restrictions we can still restore or re-awaken old recipes as well as our health and revive it, or restore it. I even wrote a post on this explaining the difference between an Awakening & Revival


For many years I struggled with my weight and my health and it was all because of the foods I was putting into my body. I ate a lot of fast food, boxed dinners, and just pure junk! All of this unhealthy eating led to many digestive problems, poor energy, and low immune system. But in 2009 my life changed for the better when I discovered the Gluten Free Lifestyle. Please check out My Gluten Free Journey for the full scoop on my journey to Gluten Free. All recipes found on The Kitchen Revival are made with healthy, wholesome ingredients without losing any of the flavor! All recipes that you find here are 100% Gluten Free & Dairy Free with a few Paleo options. I believe in using minimal processed/refined foods and sugars, My biggest weakness is chocolate! Speaking of chocolate, here is my favorite chocolate recipe: GF + DF Chocolate Almond Orange Olive Oil Bundt Cake.

I believe that food should taste good but also should be nourishing to our bodies. Some might say that it can’t be done, but I am here to show you that it can be easily done!

Do you like experimenting and trying out recipes and food from different countries? Then you will love my Tastetrotting Across The Globe series where I feature different recipes from one country per month. So far my favorite countries that we have “tastetrotted” to are: Brazil, Morocco, and India

Oh, and just so you know, not all of my recipes are going to be 100% healthy because sometimes I like to indulge in some Gluten Free sweets!

My faith and my relationship with God is very important to me. I wouldn’t be the person I am today without His love and AMAZING GRACE! Without Him we wouldn’t even have food to keep us healthy.

On Friday’s I like to share a Faith Revival Devotional on the blog. The devotionals and other faith based posts that you find here have all been inspired by my personal Bible journal entries, which range in topic from your thoughts to studying God’s word. They provide real life inspiration that is meant to encourage, inspire, uplift, and “revive” you.


God has called each of us to be a good steward of all the resources he has provided us with, including our bodies.

The Summer of 2016 was life changing for me, in all aspects, especially health wise. I was diagnosed with anxiety and this battle has made me a better person. Through the help of a counselor, prayer, and using natural methods for treating my anxiety, I can proudly say that I am thriving! I still struggle and I still have bad days, but I am learning to manage it. My anxiety has taught me that I need to take better care of myself in all aspects of my life.
