You’re An Overcomer

Ever since I started my blog I’ve been wanting to write a Faith based post, but I was feeling a little bit nervous and self conscious about it because I was afraid of what others would say or think. But my faith is a big part of my life and it’s very important to me. I have recently decided that I’m going to be writing a Faith based post every Friday.

This song has been on my mind all week and I’ve been playing it over and over again. So I thought that I would center my first Faith based post around it.

So what does it mean to be an overcomer? I AM AN OVERCOMER! In my life, I have overcomed losing my dad at a young age, being bullied throughout Middle School & High School, and a health issue that I’ve struggled with since I was young. If you think about it, we have all had to Overcome something at some point in our lives. Some people have overcomed some very big and serious things in their lives, like cancer, abuse or divorce. On a side note, if you are a cancer survivor you deserve a great big hug and a standing ovation just for winning that battle! Other people have only had to overcome small things throughout their lives. No matter what, whatever you’ve had to overcome in your life, whether it be big or small you are still an OVERCOMER!

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing”. (2 Timothy 4:7-8)

God wants all of us to fight the good fight and continue on until we take our last dying breath. If you are going through something right now, don’t just throw your arms up in the air and say “I quit, I give up!” That is not what God wants you to do. Whatever you are going through, just remember that God is holding onto you and He will carry you through this! You’re An Overcomer!

What have you Overcomed? Please post your comments below, I would love to hear about it!

I love this 🙂 . I hope you find a deeper root of faith on your Fridays. Stay strong.
I have overcome an abusive father; finding out my (ex)fiance/pastor was cheating on me with 7 women 2 weeks before our wedding, and a mother who walked out on me. Honestly, my life NOW couldn’t be better.
    Blessings,
(P.S. Thank you for coming by 😉 .)

In so many ways I am an over comer. Over coming unforgiveness toward an abusive father. Over coming fear of flying and a few other fears. Over coming too many moves that got harder as I got older. Over coming anger that must be put aside for the cause of Christ. Good post.

Never be anxious about sharing your faith. Thank you for sharing! My husband is a cancer survivor and I have never seen someone be such an overcomer like him. The only reason is Christ. Keep up the good fight!
