I am not a Football fan, but I do enjoy watching the Super Bowl, but only because of the commercials! Every year my husband and I have our very own Super Bowl party with just the two of us, with lots of yummy and healthy foods to stuff our faces with.
I have our Game Day feast all planned out and we have some very yummy foods to feast on. One of those yummy treats are my Fig & Date Granola Bars.
These Fig & Date Granola Bars are healthy and of course delicious!
Fig & Date Granola Bars
2 1/2 Cups GF Oats
1/3 Cup Dried Figs, chopped
1/3 Cup Dried Dates, chopped
1/2 Cup Nuts of your choice
1 Cup Unsweetened Applesauce
1/3 to 1/4 Cup Honey
1/2 Cup Melted Coconut Oil
3/4 tsp. Vanilla Extract
3/4 tsp Cinnamon
Preheat the oven to 325 F. Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
In a bowl, whisk together the applesauce, honey, coconut oil, cinnamon, and vanilla. Stir in the oats and mix in the nuts, figs, and dates
Drop the mixture into the baking pan and press into the pan, making sure everything is evenly distributed.
Bake in the oven for about 25 min. Remove from the oven and let the bars cool in the freezer for about 1 hr.
Cut into bars and store int an airtight container.
