Crispy Tilapia Fish Cakes (Gluten Free)

I don’t know about you, but I think I am ready for summer to be over! As much as I like summer, I’m getting tired of the heat.

Even though I am ready for Summer to be over, I do know that I am not ready for this yet! 


With how hot it’s been, I just haven’t really wanted to cook or eat much. But these Crispy Tilapia Fish Cakes make a great light meal for those hot summer days.


If you don’t like Tilapia, that’s okay, I understand! You can always swap it for salmon, cod, or any fish of your choosing. Plus these fish cakes would even taste great on a spinach salad.


Crispy Tilapia Fish Cakes (Gluten Free)

  • 4 Tilapia Fillets
  • 2 Green Onions, chopped
  • 2 Garlic Cloves, minced
  • 1 Cup GF Breadcrumbs
  • 1 Egg
  • Handful of Parsley
  • 2 tbsp. Olive Oil
  • 1 Lemon, juiced
  • Salt & Pepper, to taste


Place the tilapia in a food processor and process until finely chopped.

Add the chopped fish to a bowl with the green onions, garlic, breadcrumbs, lemon juice, egg, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix to combine.

Heat a frying pan with olive oil.

Wet your hands a little and form the mixture into fish cakes, Cook the fish cakes for 3-5 min. per side.
