Come To The Well

After my Faith based post last week, I wasn’t planning on using another video in my next post. But this song spoke to me!

As I was sitting at my computer yesterday working on goals, and finishing up my To-do list, I was listening to some favorites on my music list, and “The Well” started playing. This is one of my favorite songs! Yesterday though the words to this song really spoke to me and made me think and reflect.

Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” (John 4:13-14)

In our crazy, busy lives we chase so many things just to try and fill our dry and thirsty souls. We look to our material possessions, relationships, money, jobs, friendships, and spouses to fill us, but it’s only HIM that can satisfy our dry and thirsty souls. He longs to fill us with His unending love. In order for us to be filled to the fullest we must seek Him daily through His word and prayer. He has everything that we need!Β

God reminded me this week very clearly that I need to Come to the Well more often. Lately, I’ve been so busy that I’ve been neglecting my time spent with God, either by not spending enough time with Him, or spending no time with Him at all. No matter what, whatever is going on in your life, and even if you think your too busy there is always time to Come to the Well to be REFRESHED!Β He is always ready and waiting for you there with open arms!

Isn’t it so great to know that no matter where we are in our lives God is always patiently waiting for us. we just have to seek Him and He will satisfy all your needs!

I have to admit this year in particular I have struggled with God and how I feel about him. There have been so many things which have happened here in Ireland, atrocities which happened years ago by nuns and priests which have only been revealed this year and I’ve been sickened by them. I’ve been wondering if there was a God why would he choose such vile and nasty people to serve him and preach his word. I’m starting to build my faith back up again but it has been hard πŸ™

Just keep the faith and keep on praying because he is listening. I know sometimes it may feel like he doesn’t care or that he’s not there but he is.

I love this song, we sing it at church and it makes me cry every time! Such an amazing reminder that we need God to refill us in order to continue on the road less traveled!

I am so happy to be getting to know God this year. This year was the year I decided to turn to Him with all my problems and trust in Him for the plan of my life. It is life changing in so many ways and they are ALL good. God is good, all the time.

That is so awesome to hear that you have given your life over to Him. Just keep seeking and growing closer to Him. πŸ™‚

This is awesome! I think there are so many times when I get frustrated with things and then remember that he’s always waiting for me to come drink of his words and put them into action. Thanks for this!

Ahhh Yes Frustration! That is when we all need Him the most and sometimes we forget that when we are frustrated we need to just stop, pray, and dive into His word. πŸ™‚

This is something that my prayer partners and I struggle with as moms all the time … not getting so busy that we forget to pray and to look to our faith for peace.

yeah it’s so easy to get “too busy”. really, it’s a matter of priorities.. and no matter what you say you value, it’s pretty obvious by the way we spend our time.

Thank you for your post, it’s really hit home for me. I just moved to a new city (two months ago) and finding a new church has been on my to-do list, but life’s been so busy and hectic that it’s been on the back burner. This is my second reminder today that church is missing in my life, so I’ll take that as a sign that it’s time to move it up the priority list!

So great, I can relate that sometimes I can get to busy and forget about God and how great he has been to my family.

I think everyone values different things as priorities in life depending on the individual. I agree, sometimes we need to sit down and reevaluate what matters, but I’m not particularly religious so normally put my family above everything.

I love how music can speak to us, and seems to somehow come right at the moment we need it. Very inspiring!
