There are so many reasons why I love to cook, but my most favorite reason has to be that I get to experiment and try out different foods.
I was a picky eater when I was a child, and even into my early twenties. But after getting married, my husband encouraged me to try out different foods, and ever since then I have become an adventureous eater and cook. Because of this adventure, I decided that I
wanted, needed to be more adventurous and try out some different grains.

Buckwheat is one of those under appreciated super foods that you may not know about. But after trying this delicious Gluten Free grain, I just felt that everyone needs to know just how healthy and scrumptious it is! This is definitely my new favorite grain, and I am loving it more than rice or quinoa.
Best of all, this grain is GLUTEN FREE! Although it’s name is a little deceiving though, but it has no relation to wheat whatsoever. This grain is just as simple to make as rice.
When Buckwheat is toasted, the buckwheat (also known as groats) darken dramatically and their flavor becomes intense & robust.
In Eastern Europe, toasted Buckwheat is a common ingredient in soups, side dishes, porridge, and can also be ground into flours for baked goods.
Buckwheat is a great source of Potassium, fiber, protein, iron, and vitamin B6. It is also a good source of manganese, magnesium, copper, and zinc, which are great for the immune system.
So if you have never given this delicious Gluten Free grain a try, you really should because it’s not only tasty but also healthy too!
