Banana Bread Style Oatmeal


This is the sight that I woke up to this morning. Watching the snow fall is beautiful, but I’m just not a fan of snowy weather. 

So, I thought this morning was the perfect morning to have Banana Bread Style Oatmeal for breakfast. There is no banana bread in the oatmeal, but it tastes almost like banana bread. This is the perfect breakfast to fill you up and warm you up on a cold, snowy morning.


Banana Bread Style Oatmeal

1 Cup Gluten Free Oats

1 Cup Almond Coconut Milk Blend (You can use any kind of Milk or Dairy Free milk that you desire)

2 Ripe Bananas, mashed

1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

1 tsp. cinnamon

1/4 tsp. nutmeg

2 tsp. Brown Sugar

In a medium saucepan, add the milk, mashed bananas, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Heat the mixture on medium heat. When it starts to boil, add the oats and cook for 5 min, stirring occasionally until the oats are soft and liquid is absorbed.

Pour the oatmeal mixture into a bowl and top with brown sugar, banana slices, and walnuts.
