Apple Sage Pork Chops

First of all I feel that I owe my readers an apology because I’ve been so distracted and busy that I’ve been neglecting my blog, plus my Facebook & Twitter accounts all week. But I promise you that I have a very good excuse, which I will explain further in this post!

Last night’s supper (and blog post) was supposed to be Apple Sage Pork Chops, but we had a change of plans for dinner, so I decided to just make the Apple Sage Pork Chops for lunch today.

This is a recipe that I created after I was unable to find a similar recipe that I had made before. So I decided to just create my own recipe.

Apple Sage Pork Chops

4 Pork Chops (Can be bone-in or boneless whichever you prefer)

1 tbsp GF Flour

1/4 Cup GF Flour for breading (I use Domata)

Fresh Sage

1 tsp. minced garlic

1 tsp. Thyme

1/2 tsp. Paprika

2 tbsp. Olive Oil

1 Yellow Onion, thinly sliced

2 Red Apples, thinly sliced

1/2 cup Apple Cider or Apple Juice

1 tbsp. Brown Sugar

Mix 1/4 Cup Flour, Sage, Garlic, Thyme, and Paprika in a a pie pan. Dredge the Pork Chops in the flour mixture.

Cook the pork chops in hot oil in a large skillet for 3 min. on both sides, or until brown. Remove from the skillet.

Add the apples & onions to the skillet. Cook and stir for about 3 min. or until tender.

Stir in the apple cider, brown sugar, and 1 tbsp. GF Flour. Return the pork chops to the skillet.

Bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low; cover and simmer for 5 min.

So now on to what I’ve been so distracted by. I create and sell handmade jewelry (mostly bracelets). I recently made the decision to move my jewelry shop over to Etsy. So for the past few days I’ve been working on my Etsy Store, and taking some new pics of my jewelry.

Oh yeah I almost forgot! You may also notice I have made some changes to my sidebar. Since I’ve been so distracted the past couple of days I thought that I would update some pages, and add some new things to the sidebar.

You may also notice that I have a link to my Etsy store on my Menu Bar now.

If you would like you can stop on by my Etsy Shop and I also have a Facebook Fan Page for Signature 923 Designs

This sounds absolutely delicious! I have most of these ingredients around the house, so I’m putting the chops on my grocery list. Pinned!

I had pork chops for supper last night. They were so tasty! I hadn’t thought to put apple and sage on them, although I am a big fan of apple, sage and pork sausages!

Bet this could be a crock pot recipe too, maybe instead of chops a pork roast with the apple – it looks delish!
